STATEMENT
Tropical Abstraction is a lab for colour and form: everyday scenes filtered through my Pacific-Colombian roots. Geometry, digital gesture and bold palettes to spark introspection.
WHAT IT IS
A series that reinterprets the everyday with layers, textures and typography as visual material. It suggests rather than depicts—short stories in colour collisions.
HOW I WORK
- Quick sketches and notes; digital build with vectors and brushes.
- Layers, masks, grain and halftones; type only when it adds meaning.
- Colour iteration to balance tropical energy with legibility.
WHAT I EXPLORE
- Vibrant colour on warm bases.
- Dialogue between geometry and gesture.
- Textures that give digital work a tactile feel.
- Layers and fragments as narrative rhythm.
- Short words/phrases as emotional anchors.
WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
To think in layers, harness colour energy and use typography as a voice—turning scattered thoughts into images that breathe.
